Camposition is dedicated to the development of new work and the professional development from Miami based artists. We are delighted to host ongoing FieldWork session with the generous support of the Dade Community Foundation and the Field New York.

FieldWork Miami has a long successful history beginning with Miami Light Project in 1992, in 2005 with Artemis and since 2006 with Camposition. Over 100 artists have participated in FieldWork including critically acclaimed artists Teo Castellanos, Rafael Roig, Heather Maloney, Bill Spring, Dinorah de Jesus Rodriguez and many others.

Fieldwork Miami is for ANY emerging, mid-career or established artist interested in the development of new work. At each meeting, participants present their works-in-progress and exchange feedback artist to artist. Guided by a facilitator, discussions are incisive and stimulating. The FieldWork feedback structure reveals how the artist’s work is perceived by others and provides detailed information that helps participants hone their vision. By focusing discussions on what’s happening in the work and how those choices shape the work, the Fieldwork method supports the authorship of each artist. This fall’s workshop series will be attended by visiting artists and presenters who will participate in feedback sessions. This workshop culminates in an informal showing open to the public.

The next WINTER Field Workshops are held on Saturdays 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm starting and take place at 801 Projects, located south of downtown Miami and a few blocks west of Brickell Ave at 801 SW 3 Ave, 2nd Floor. Works-in-progress created by participating artists will be presented and/or exhibited during FIELD DAY at 801 Projects and Camposition Studio at the end of the 6 week session.

Space is limited to 10 artists per session. The fee for the Fieldwork Miami session is $100.00.
A 50% non-refundable deposit will be due prior to the start of the workshop. Spots will not be secured without a deposit. Artists are encouraged to register and send deposit as soon as possible since participation is based on a first come, first served basis. additional information, please contact Becky Flowers, FieldWork Miami Project Coordinator at flowersbecky@hotmail.com or through this website.
